IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys are traveling to New York on Friday, a day earlier than usual for Sunday’s division matchup against the Giants.
The reason: They plan to visit the One World Trade Center observatory in Manhattan which opened earlier this year.
“(Head coach) Jason (Garrett), you know is really into those kinds of things for the team,” Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan. “We're going to go to Ground Zero and go to the observation tower and really experience that in the downtown area of New York and get a feel for what heroes were really like in those trying times.
