The bad news already came today for the Dallas Cowboys as left tackle Tyron Smith is done for the season. Smith is scheduled to have neck surgery for an issue that Mike McCarthy says is correctable but has been bothering Smith for some time. That means that the Cowboys will play the rest of the season without their starting left tackle in Smith, and their starting right tackle, La’el Collins. With Travis Frederick retiring before the season, the Cowboys offensive line is in for a big challenge to protect Dak Prescott and open running lanes for Ezekiel Elliott.
