Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones is in the midst of preparations for next week's NFL draft. But the club is also in "active" discussions to extend the contracts of quarterback Dak Prescott and receiver Amari Cooper, Jones revealed in an interview Tuesday afternoon on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM].
Once Dallas locked up defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on a mega deal April 5, it allowed potential Prescott and Cooper deals to move to the forefront. However, not much has been said about how the process has progressed.
"Pretty much everybody's on it pretty good that there's some pretty active discussions now with Dak and Amari," Jones said.
