Former first-round pick Ezekiel Elliott was signed back to the Dallas Cowboys in April in hopes of creating an effective duo with Rico Dowdle. Per Josina Anderson, the reunion won't even last a full season as the Cowboys are releasing him.

Elliott won two rushing titles in his first three years in Dallas and led the league in rushing yards per game the season that he didn't.
