With Dallas Cowboys All-Pro wide recevier Dez Bryant opting out of the team’s offseason activities and mini-camp earlier this year due to contract negotiations, third-year wide out Terrance Williams allegedly flourish in his absence. Even starting quarterback Tony Romo was excited by the former Baylor Bears’ growth.
But when Bryant missed a chunk of the regular season due to a foot injury, Williams all but disappeared. In that five game span without Dez or Romo in the lineup, the 26-year old caught just 13 of his 32 targets for 233 yards and two scores.
