The Cowboys are exploring options to accommodate the UIL playoffs in mid December but are aware the championship games may be forced to move from AT&T Stadium.
The Cowboys are scheduled to host the New York Jets on the evening of Dec. 19. The problem: the UIL anticipated holding their title games in the stadium on Dec. 17-19.
The two sides had an option in 2015 to continue to stage the games in Arlington.
Rich Dalrymple, the Cowboys vice president of public relations, issued a statement Wednesday afternoon.
“Our organization has a long standing commitment to high school football and we enjoy a great relationship with the UIL,’’ Dalrymple said in the statement.
