Cowboys sign safety Jeff Heath to four-year deal

IRVING, Texas – When Jeff Heath signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2013 out of Saginaw Valley State, the goal was to just make the roster. After three seasons, Heath now holds a four-year contract.

“Obviously I’d be lying if I said there’s not a little bit more security when you see more years on the end of your deal, but I’d be hurting myself if I thought I made it because that’s not what got me to this point,” Heath said. “That’s never gotten me anything in my life.
