Cowboys' Sean Lee to be inactive against Bucs

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, multiple sources confirmed.

Lee played only seven snaps in his return last week at the Indianapolis Colts after missing five games with a hamstring strain. He was limited in three practices during the week and listed as questionable. Lee is healthy enough to have some kind of role but the team does not want to risk losing him for a potential playoff run.

Unlike recent years, the Cowboys defense has performed well without Lee with Jaylon Smith and rookie Leighton Vander Esch stepping into larger roles.
