Cowboys' Schottenheimer expects Parsons at voluntary workouts

PALM BEACH, Florida - When the Dallas Cowboys' voluntary offseason program begins next week, Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer expects star pass rusher Micah Parsons to be a participant.

Since Schottenheimer is a first-year head coach, the Cowboys' conditioning starts Monday, like the other teams with new head coaches.

Over the last two years, Parsons has not been a frequent member of the offseason program, working mostly on his own in the early conditioning work and organized team activities. He has been at the mandatory June minicamp, but now that the team and Parsons are engaged in contract negotiations there has been a thought Parsons would not be around.
