For years, the Dallas Cowboys defense has been in need of playmakers. Heading into this offseason, following a 4-12 showing last years, the Cowboys still needed defensive difference makers. Today, they need them more than ever.
With a total of three starting defenders now suspended due to violating the league’s substance abuse policy, the Cowboys defense will start the season with a severe lack of star power. But that is looking at the glass half empty. These suspensions also allow some of the team’s younger players the opportunity to step up and earn more playing time.
