FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott said Friday he has met with NFL investigators about the league's ongoing investigation into domestic violence allegations against him.
But Elliott insisted that the meeting with NFL investigators didn't happen "recently," as USA Today reported on Thursday.
Elliott said he met with NFL investigators about a month and a half ago, which meant it would have taken place around the start of the Cowboys' season.
An NFL source told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday that the league is still investigating the domestic violence allegations against Elliott that were made by an ex-girlfriend.
