The Dallas Cowboys made a move at safety today, but it wasn’t for Earl Thomas. Of course, they couldn’t make a Thomas move (legally) for a while now, so instead they brought back Darian Thompson.
Thompson played in 10 games last year after the Cowboys signed him off the Cardinals practice. He entered the league as a third-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. The Cowboys declined to offer a restricted free-agent tender on Thompson last month as that would have come to a $2.025 million price tag according to PFT.
