Cowboys RB Joseph Randle practices day after suffering a strained oblique

Joseph Randle was back at practice today, just hours after suffering a slight oblique strain that prevented him from finishing Monday afternoon’s session.

The running back took part in Tuesday’s individual drills but not the team portion of practice. Gus Johnson ran with the starters, a strong indication the undrafted rookie out of Stephen F. Austin will open Thursday’s pre-season game against San Diego.

“I feel great,’’ Randle said. “My back just locked up on me, but I’ll be allright.

“That’s been happening since middle school. I know how to handle it. I know how to handle my body.
