Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has been granted a temporary stay while the judge in the case is away on vacation, per Kate Hairopoulos.
This will allow Elliott to play in the Cowboys’ Week 7 game against the 49ers, but he will have to make his case to Judge Katherine Fallia when she’s back from vacation before or by Oct. 30, per Hairopoulos.
Elliott was granted a temporary restraining order by a Texas court, which barred the NFL from imposing his six-game suspension for the duration of the lawsuit. However, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last week to vacate Elliott’s preliminary injunction.
