FRISCO -- Ezekiel Elliott is feeling the benefits of not playing in the regular-season finale Sunday in New Jersey.
The 2018 NFL rushing champion said the pounding he takes during a game usually prevents him from feeling ready to play again until the following Friday or Saturday.
"But I'm ready to go right now," Elliott said after Tuesday's practice inside the Ford Center.
Elliott had a career-high 381 touches in 15 games this season. During a seven-game stretch from Week 10 to Week 16, he averaged 29 touches per game.
He's expected to get around that number in Saturday night's wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks.
