IRVING – Tony Romo did not practice Wednesday. But the quarterback isn’t hurt or sick. He’s just wedded to a routine that the Cowboys believe helped him excel in 2014, when he led the NFL in passer rating, completion percentage and yards per attempt. Starting in Week 3 of last season, Romo began to adhere to a schedule that included rest and weight room exercise on Wednesday followed by normal work with the team Thursday and Friday
“It’s been a process that we’ve looked at and analyzed and went over and over,” Romo said. “Obviously you always want to be out on the football field, but the less torque I have to throw during the week is doing to allow me to be a little bit better on Sunday, plus the ability to build in the weight room helps a lot.
