The Cowboys entered last year's training camp expecting to again have arguably the NFL's best offensive line. Not only were they returning perennial Pro Bowlers Tyron Smith, Zack Martin and Travis Frederick, but they had used their second-round pick on standout Texas offensive tackle Connor Williams.
Plugging Williams in at left guard meant the Cowboys would have a first-round caliber talent at all five starting offensive line positions.
