The Dallas Cowboys entered Sunday afternoon’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers one game out of the NFC East lead. Following the 28-7 loss, and wins by the 6-7 Washington Redskins and the 6-7 Philadelphia Eagles, the 4-9 Cowboys have been all but eliminated from playoff contention with only three games left in their season.
After a strong defensive showing by both teams in the first quarter, the Cowboys defense allowed two Aaron Rodgers‘ touchdown passes giving Green Bay a 14-0 lead going into halftime. But Dallas’ offense started to show some life in the third quarter, as a 45-yard run by running back Darren McFadden led to the Cowboys only touchdown of the contest and made it a one-score game, 14-7.
