The Dallas Cowboys don’t make many “aggressive” moves to acquire outside talent. However, when the team opted to trade a Day 3 draft pick last offseason to add Brandin Cooks, it was a rare move that was universally loved by those around the league.
Cooks is a well-respected veteran who has been a true professional at every stop during his NFL journey, and that held true in 2023 with Dallas. However, what didn’t hold true was his almost clockwork-like ability to accumulate 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
While he fell short of that number last season, Cooks will be called upon in a much bigger way in 2024, and the century mark should once again be looked at as the benchmark for the veteran.
