The Dallas Cowboys defense sacked New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady five times in the first half of Sunday afternoon’s contest at AT&T Stadium. It was the most the 16-year Super Bowl winning-quarterback had been dropped in a first half in his illustrious career. Despite a stout defensive effort, it was the anemic Cowboys offense, led by back-up quarterback Brandon Weeden, that allowed America’s Team to record their third straight loss.
For the third week in a row, Weeden’s stat sheet looks decent for a back-up. The former first round bust completed 26 of his 39 passes for 188 yards and had one expected interception.
