When Rod Marinelli arrived in 2013 to help the Dallas Cowboys’ defense, he gave key members of the unit nicknames. Some seemed logical enough. Jason Hatcher was “Big Daddy.” DeMarcus Ware earned the moniker “Long Arms.” George Selvie was given the manly nickname of “Bricklayer.”
Nick Hayden was expected to respond to the name of “Golden Cock.” Was that a compliment?
“Oh yeah,” Hatcher said. “The Golden Cock, that’s a sweet name, the Golden Cock.”
That was Hatcher’s opinion, but apparently Hayden took it to heart, too. More evidence of that is in a tweet Hayden shared on Thursday.
