Darian Thompson outperforming Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. The most interesting development from Sunday’s practice was that the Cowboys have a real competition between Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Darian Thompson for the starting safety spot opposite Xavier Woods, and the leader in the clubhouse probably isn’t who you expect.
Shortly after practice ended, Gehlken revealed that Thompson has outperformed Clinton-Dix throughout camp and Watkins tweeted that Thompson is getting the reps next to Woods on the first-team defense.
