The fact that Mike McCarthy’s contract will run out after one more early kickoff against the Commanders is hard to believe, even though it’s been a reality all season.
Executive vice president Stephen Jones said on his radio show on 105.3 on Monday it was a discussion for next week, and McCarthy said the same thing later in the day when asked if he wants to stay with the Cowboys.
“I need to make sure I’m doing exactly what I’m asking everybody else to do: We need to finish the race,” McCarthy said, via Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
