FRISCO, Texas – On the list of questions the Dallas Cowboys needed to answer in training camp, swing tackle was not at the top of the list. It might not have been in the top four.
When All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith suffered a stinger in a practice while in Oxnard, California, the swing tackle question took on more importance.
The Cowboys can ill afford to miss Smith at any juncture, but after having Jermey Parnell handle the role from 2012-14 and Charles Brown handle it in 2015, they are now turning to second-year tackle Chaz Green as their top option.
