According to Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys are taking calls regarding running backs ahead of today’s deadline.
Rapoport says that it seems like they’ll stand pat with their current options, but he wonders if they could make a call to the Titans about DeMarco Murray.
This comes after the news that Ezekiel Elliott‘s six-game suspension has been reinstated. He can still appeal the ruling, but it’s getting closer to the point where Elliott is running out of options.
The Cowboys currently have Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris in place as their running backs while Elliott is out, so it couldn’t hurt to at least see what’s available in the trade market.
