Instead of taking another step towards an improbable playoff run after losing seven-straight games, the Dallas Cowboys took a giant leap backwards during their Thanksgiving Day loss to the undefeated Carolina Panthers, 33-14.
The backslide started within the first minute of the game for Dallas, as Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was intercepted by Panthers safety Kurt Coleman, who returned it for a 36-yard defensive touchdown. Before the end of the third quarter, Romo would throw two more interceptions. Both picks were by Panthers’ middle linebacker Luke Kuechly.
