IRVING, Texas – When Chris Long agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots on Tuesday, it was met with a collective gulp from fans of the Dallas Cowboys.
They know the Cowboys need a pass-rusher – or three – to help improve their defense in 2016. To many, Long represented the last best chance for the Cowboys to land a pass-rusher, even as he recorded just four sacks in the last two years.
So what’s left at defensive end?
The Cowboys’ own free agents, Jack Crawford, Greg Hardy and Jeremy Mincey, remain.
