The Dallas Cowboys are going to be without starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens for an extended period of time. But at least Hitchens won’t miss the season.
Hitchens has been diagnosed with a tibial plateau fracture in his right knee, a source told the Star-Telegram’s Clarence E. Hill, Jr. The Cowboys had feared after Saturday’s preseason game that Hitchens tore his anterior cruciate ligament, which would have ended his season.
But the Cowboys still must ready for the season with Hitchens sidelined. Veteran Justin Durant hasn’t played in the preseason, but has said he’s ready to go.
