Cowboys’ Larry Allen up for Texas Sports Hall of Fame consideration

Larry Allen is the latest Dallas Cowboys player to be considered for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. The nominees for the 2016 Class were announced earlier this month.

Voting members of the organization determine the enshrinees, who will be announced in September.

Cowboys already enshrined include Troy Aikman, Bob Lilly, Michael Irvin, Rayfield Wright and Emmitt Smith.

Other prominent Dallas athletes under consideration include Jason Kidd (Mavericks), Michael Young (Rangers) and Nastia Liukin (gymnast).
