FRISCO, Texas – For the sixth time since 2010, the Dallas Cowboys will have Tony Corrente as the referee when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
But they hope to avoid something of a trend in Corrente’s games.
The past two times the Cowboys had Corrente as the ref, their starting quarterback, Tony Romo, has gotten hurt. In 2014, Romo suffered two transverse process fractures in his back in a loss to the Washington Redskins. Last year, Romo suffered a broken left collarbone in a Week 2 win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
