Cowboys had some inside knowledge on draft picks

FRISCO, Texas -- The best way to have quality drafts is to mitigate risks.

No player is ever foolproof, but the more you know about the player, the better the chance he will succeed, whether he is a first-round pick, a seventh-round pick or an undrafted free agent.

The Dallas Cowboys used some inside knowledge in the selection of their draft choices, as well as one of their impending undrafted free agents.

Before he became the Cowboys' secondary coach, Greg Jackson was the defensive backs coach at Michigan under Jim Harbaugh. Two of the Cowboys' top three picks, Taco Charlton and Jourdan Lewis, played at Michigan when Jackson was there.
