IRVING, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys just aren’t ready to quit on Morris Claiborne.
The one-year deal Claiborne signed Friday is his last chance to make good on the potential that made the Cowboys trade up to get him with the sixth pick in the 2012 draft.
Despite only three career interceptions, the Cowboys continue to believe Claiborne can be a lock-down corner. Instead of paying him a big-time deal, they will pay him mostly as he plays in 2016. The deal maxes out at $3.75 million.
