Cowboys free agent news: Darian Thompson agrees to two-year deal to stay in Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys have been busy trying to retain some of their own players as the legal tampering portion of free agency has proceeded. They’ve already franchise tagged Dak Prescott, extended Blake Jarwin, and agreed to terms with Amari Cooper.

There are other Cowboys needing new deals, though. While the likes of Byron Jones, Randall Cobb, Robert Quinn, Jason Witten, and Maliek Collins are all headed to new homes, there are still players that need to be retained.

On Tuesday afternoon, there is news that the Cowboys are keeping another player, a safety.
