The Cowboys need to affect the quarterback in order to be successful, but they did not address their biggest need with a pass rushing end in their first three picks. By taking Charles Tapper at No. 101, the Cowboys hope they found immediate help.
My take: Perhaps the Cowboys received the message: they need pass rush help. Like third-round pick Maliek Collins, Tapper has the look of what Rod Marinelli wants in a defensive end because of his speed.
He ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash at the combine, which is incredible considering his 271-pound frame.
