Cowboys Expected To Hold Scheduled Workout With Veteran Free Agent CB Boykin

IRVING, Texas – Continuing to look for possible depth on their 90-man roster, the Cowboys are expected to hold a scheduled workout with veteran free agent cornerback Brandon Boykin.

A former fourth-round pick by the Eagles in 2012, Boykin spent three years in Philadelphia and last season with the Steelers. The Panthers signed him in March but waived him in May after drafting three cornerbacks.

Boykin has played four full NFL seasons (seven starts) and posted 128 tackles, 37 pass breakups and eight interceptions, including six in 2013 with the Eagles.

The Cowboys showed interest in adding cornerback depth early in free agency but did not make a signing.
