FRISCO, Texas -- As the Dallas Cowboys head to Indianapolis this week for the NFL scouting combine, they do so without the cache of a first-round pick.
The Cowboys, who saw Amari Cooper's production soar after acquiring him in a trade with the Oakland Raiders for their 2019 first-round pick, do not have any buyer's remorse. However, not having a top pick does take some of the juice away from the draft process -- at least for those who are consumed with mock drafts.
Successful drafts are not judged solely by a first-round pick.
