FRISCO -- Articulate arguments exist on why marijuana should be removed from the list of banned substances in the next collective bargaining agreement.
David Irving's Instagram ramblings over the weekend don't qualify.
The Cowboys defensive end did himself no favors by proclaiming his affinity for weed, trashing the NFL's substance abuse policy then adding he's been medicated in some shape or form for every game he's played in the league.
Some of you will find his thoughts refreshing. That's fine. But ask yourself this. Were they in his best interests? Does it advance the serious debate that should take place or will his comments be mocked as the irrational response of someone who was drawn off sides by a social media troll late at night?
