ORLANDO -- The Dallas Cowboys entered free agency all but assured they would lose linebacker Anthony Hitchens. Not long into the open market, Hitchens signed a five-year, $45 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
So far the Cowboys have not replaced Hitchens, who started 48 of 60 games in his four seasons.
They added Joe Thomas on a two-year deal, but he is more of a situational player than starter. They could look in the draft, especially early, for a linebacker as well.
And then there’s Jaylon Smith.
