ARLINGTON — Brandon Carr was anxious the last few days. The Cowboys starting cornerback just wanted to get on the field for Saturday night’s preseason game against the Vikings.
Carr didn’t play in the previous two preseason contests. He broke a bone in his right hand during camp earlier this month. A plate and screws were used to surgically-repair it.
“I’m not worried about injuring it again,” Carr said. “I got two more weeks to get it as strong as possible, and then I’m going to ride from there. And you’ll never hear about it again.”
Carr still has some swelling and a three-inch scar on the back of his hand.
