Although Cowboys players have been working out on their own at The Star for weeks, Monday marks the first day of voluntary team workouts.
Head coach Jason Garrett is not allowed to take part in these activities. The strength and conditioning staff are the only coaches permitted on the field with the players during this stretch known as "Phase One."
This phase lasts for two weeks and is limited to strength and conditioning activities.
According to the NFL Players Association, players are only allowed on the field for 90 minutes and workouts are limited to four hours.
