To call this season an emotional rollercoaster for the Dallas Cowboys would be an understatement. Yet here we are 14 weeks into the season and America’s Team, at a pedestrian .500, is miraculously somehow still in first place of the NFC East.
But the ride isn’t over yet, despite the negative energy pulsating through the locker room. It’s time to forget everything this team has experienced up to this point because, quite frankly, none of it matters. There’s no sense in looking back anymore.
The Cowboys are in the driver’s seat. They are a game ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles — who are also dealing with their own drama after a shocking upset to the Miami Dolphins last week — and currently own the head-to-head tiebreaker; the two teams still meet one more time in Week 16.
