Most people focused on the running backs the Cowboys invited to drop by Valley Ranch last week to work out.
So naturally, the team signed a wide receiver.
A.J. Jenkins, who three short years ago was a first round pick of the San Francisco 49ers, has signed with the club, a source said. The Cowboys start organized team activities today.
Jenkins played in only three games as a rookie for the 49ers and made no statistical mark. He was traded to Kansas City where he caught 17 passes for 223 yards and no touchdowns over the past two seasons.
