Coach’s Corner: Which Winston Churchill quote does Leon Lett use to inspire his defensive linemen?

Why should young players on the Cowboys roster listen carefully to the words of defensive line assistant Leon Lett? Because Lett doesn’t just talk the talk, he’s already walked the walk.

A late-round pick (7th round) who played at a small school (Emporia State), Lett beat the odds to earn three Super Bowl rings and earn two Pro Bowl nods in his 10 seasons with the Cowboys (1991-2000).

Lett returned to the Cowboys in 2011 as assistant defensive line coach. Still known to Cowboys fans as “Big Cat”, Lett is normally a quiet guy. You won’t hear him berating players on the field, nor delivering lengthy speeches in public forums.
