For years, critics pointed out that the Dallas Cowboys lacked an identity under current head coach Jason Garrett. But after spending three first round draft picks on offensive lineman (offensive tackle Tyron Smith in 2011, center Travis Frederick in 2013 and right guard Zack Martin in 2014) as well as drafting running back Ezekiel Elliott with this year’s No. 4 overall pick, it appears that the Cowboys have clearly decided that the identity of the franchise is going to be one that prefers to light up the score board.
