TAMPA, Fla. – A look at Dallas Cowboys players who were “up” and those who were “down” in Sunday’s 10-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
UP:
Byron Jones: He hadn’t played outside cornerback since training camp, but when the Cowboys lost Morris Claiborne in the second quarter, the first-round pick moved from safety to cornerback. He had been the nickel and dime back as well. With such little practice time in the spot, he did a decent job in an emergency.
Jeff Heath: His holding penalty led to Tampa Bay’s game-winning touchdown and he accepted blame for not being disciplined enough, but he also had two interceptions, a career high, that put the Cowboys in position to end their losing streak.
