Breaking: Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott cleared to play Sunday vs. 49ers, granted temporary restraining order

Ezekiel Elliott will take the field with his team Sunday in San Francisco.

The Cowboys running back again is eligible to play after a New York judge granted his and the NFL Players Association's motion for a temporary restraining order. Elliott's legal team filed the motion Monday evening, after which the courts granted an emergency hearing for Tuesday afternoon. The ruling prevents the NFL from its enforcing its six-game suspension yet.

This means Elliott can play Sunday, but will have to make case to Judge Katherine Fallia when she's back from vacation before or by Oct.
