Bob Sturm's observations (Part 1): Players who helped - and hurt - their chances of making Cowboys' 53-man roster

Special contributor Bob Sturm discussed the Cowboys’ 21-14 win over the Houston Texans in their preseason finale. Here are some highlights.

Who are a couple of bubble players that may have helped their roster chances against the Texans?

Bob Sturm: I think, first and foremost, Davon Coleman comes to mind, the defensive tackle who has grown into his spot over the last 18 months and has really, in many ways, used versatility at both defensive tackle spots to show that he can contribute. Really, in every preseason game so far this season, he’s flashed with big plays and what Rod Marinelli wants from his defensive tackles are guys who can penetrate into the backfield and make plays.
