Question: Should the Witten extension prevent the Cowboys from taking a TE in what's considered a deep draft class for the position?
Newy Scruggs: The Cowboys will not let Witten's extension affect their draft. They took tight ends Anthony Fasano, Martellus Bennett and Gavin Escobar in the second round of drafts. And that was with Witten on the roster.
