IRVING, Texas – You know it’s been a tough season when arguably the most consistent area on the team in 2015, field goal kicking, sails a little too far right in yet another winnable game during this seven-game losing streak.
Dan Bailey’s streak of consecutive made field goals ended last Sunday in Tampa Bay when he missed a 48-yard attempt in the second quarter of the Cowboys’ 10-6 loss. He made his two other tries to improve to 18-for-19 this season.
Looking back, had the 48-yard miss been good, the offense would’ve been trailing by only one point and playing for a field goal to win on the final drive instead of playing for a touchdown.
