As Cowboys win, spirits high at early Salvation Army Thanksgiving meal

DALLAS -- Each time Jason Witten carried trays of Thanksgiving meals for the folks at the Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Social Service Center, the cheers from the women seemed to grow louder.

Maybe they are just that big of fans of the Dallas Cowboys' tight end or maybe they are that happy that their team is 8-1 and holds the best record in the NFL.

“Just checking the pulse of the city, Mondays feel great for us after a victory but for everybody around the DFW community, I know it feels great as well,” cornerback Brandon Carr said.
